Teresa Zielinski, SVP, Chief Information Security Officer and Product Security, GE Power
Teresa is responsible for the strategic leadership of enterprise security, risk and product security for GE Power, including incident response, government relations, cyber intelligence, application/system/product security, and controllership & governance. She holds a Top-Secret government clearance. GE Power is a $28B business with 55,000 employees in over 150 locations. Prior to this role, Teresa led the Security Design Team in Aviation for 4 years, where she was responsible for defining architecture solutions and standards along with leading new technology implementations.
Teresa has been with GE for 19 years and began her career in Energy as a Black Belt. She held various positions in Information Technology as the Quality leader supporting ERP, Product Lifecycle Manager supporting engineering operations, and the Quality Control Manager for TSG (Technical Services Group) supporting the industrial businesses across GE. Prior to moving into cyber security, she managed the Energy and Oil & Gas Build team, responsible for the implementation of large-scale CIO and network connectivity projects.
Teresa holds a Master of Science degree in Statistics and a Bachelor of Science in Math/Physics from the State University of New York, Albany. Her external activities include; ballet instructor/choreographer, Krav Maga, supporting animal rescue and visiting with family/friends.
